HP 27er IPS LED Backlit Monitor review

HP 27er IPS LED Backlit Monitor Review

If you are looking for an above average desktop monitor at an affordable price, the HP 27-inch monitor is an excellent choice.

The HP 27er monitor with IPS panel and LED backlight is perfect for working on your computer, gaming, and streaming on-line video and movies. In-Plane Switching or IPS monitors use liquid crystals in parallel alignment to produce both richer colors and better viewing angles. An LED backlight panel is an LCD (liquid crystal display) screen that produces a brighter light source with much less energy. It can also produce white color. Combining the two gives the HP 27 inch monitor more realistic color at decreased energy consumption. When comparing IPS monitors vs LED, the LED has a slightly decreased ability to handle rapid image changes. Pairing the two eliminates the lag and energy use.

The HP 27er is the thinnest LCD designed by HP. Since it is bezel-less, it boasts an impressive edge to edge display that is perfect for viewing videos or setting up seamless multiple monitors. If you are a high-end gamer or graphic designer, this may not be the perfect monitor for you. The HP 27er offers a VGA port and two HDMI ports that support HDCP. This means you can smoothly transmit 60Hz of video data. It doesn’t include USB ports or DVI and DVID ports.

Our Review

This Hp 27er Bezel-less IPS Monitor is a winner and its slight smaller sister, the 22er (22 inch) is just as nice. You won’t beat this monitor for either quality or price, unless you want to lay out some big bucks. The images are clear, and the colors are brilliant. With the no haze/matte screen, you won’t suffer from eye strain.
